To play one must own a deck of 10 cards each consisting of Blue, Red, Green, Yellow, and Purple Monstermon cards in which you may only have a maximum of 1 copy per card.

  1. Both players play 1 round of Rock, Paper, Scissors and the winner chooses to either go first or second, a max of 2 or 3 rounds and a minimum of 1 round.
  2. Both players start with 10 HP and 5 MP, it is important to know you may not have more than 5 MP and you can't have more then 10 HP. You also start with 3 Monstermon drawn from the top of your deck face down into your hand. You may not have more then 3 Monstermon cards in your hand.
  3. Monstermon have actions that can be activated with MP, you gain MP when you pass your turn or you don't react to an attack.
  4. During your turn you can place a Monstermon to attack your opponent, this action can consume MP, as said before you gain MP by passing a turn or to not react when getting attacked.
  5. The monster you used is then sent to the discard pile, be sure to pay attention to the top of your discard pile. Some of your Monstermons' effects tie in with the top of your discard pile.
  6. After your Monstermon’s effect resolves, draw a card, which follows with your opponents turn, and the same thing happens except now you are getting attacked. When you faced with an attack you may defend with a monster. This also consumes MP. Following this is your turn and you both draw a card.

You and your opponent continue this until either of your HP drops to 0 or you or your opponent run out of cards in your deck, in which cases whoever just used there deck takes their discard pile, shuffles it and places it back down as there deck, their hand is unaffected by this.
